With over 17 years of experience in the development sector, Julian has been working with a range of stakeholders from grassroots to policy level in South Asia/South East Asia, and the West African Region. He holds postgraduate degrees in Social Work and English Literature, and has undertaken assignments for partners of NORAD, USAID, AUSAid and DFID, UN organizations (UNIFEM, UNAIDS, UNODC, UNDP, World Bank), Government machineries (National AIDS Control Organization – India, National Drug Control Boards – Sri Lanka and Nepal, State AIDS Control Organization – India, Railways-India, National Centre for AIDS and STD Control – Nepal, National AIDS/STD Program –Bangladesh, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Nigeria, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Kerala, India), DFID supported HIV prevention programs in India, GFATM programs, Save the Children UK – Bangladesh, etc. One of the founders of CMID, Julian serves as Director at Swasti, an international health resource centre based in Bengaluru, India.
